speedometer not working properly?

My speedometer keeps bouncing up and down and stops working sometimes. when this happens i have loss of power also.

Yep, this sounds like a classic VSS (output shaft sensor) that is going out here is the location of the sensor so you can swap it out to help fix the problem. Check out the images (below). Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem so we can see what's going on.
