Misfire on 1 and 3.
3 plugs on top and 3 bottom.
How do does the numbering go?
123 top 456 bottom? Or 135 top 246 bottom?

Hi again,

I'm sorry to bother you, and didn't expect to. But, do you have a diagram of where to open up the area to get to the 1, 3, and 5 coils? I finally located them, but, it looks quite involved to get to them. I have crappy friends that promised to do this for me. They didn't show so, here I am and I can do this. I just need some correct guidance to avoid damaging something unintentionally. You are my hero, lol and thank you.

Hello again.

The engine cover should pop off easy enough to gain access to the ignition coils. Here is a YouTube video for a 2013 Optima which is similar.

I've attached a picture below showing how to replace an ignition coil on your car. Let us know if you have any further questions on this issue. Hope this helps and thanks again for using 2CarPros.
