Sounds after CV axle replaced

I had my mechanic replace the CV joint almost a month ago. I have noticed that when I accelerate, it makes a noise. Almost sounding like a jet taking off. When I slow down, the sound goes down with it. It's not the engine. What could cause this noise?

Can you upload a video of the noise?

Did he replace the whole axle or just the joint? Replacing the joint is rarely done as there may be issues after that replacement.
