Sound coming from under the glove box area on passenger side. It is a whizzing type sound, off and on. Not constant. You can hear it mainly when the car is off.

Hello,

One of the common noises could be a malfunctioning blower motor or an air door actuator.
But those typically go away with the vehicle off.

So, this noise exists even with the vehicle off and all the accessories off?

If you would please upload a video of the noise. I think that would be helpful.

Let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

On the video, was this with the completely off?
Also, if the vehicle was off, how long after it was off that the sound got recorded.

It does sound like the air door actuator is cycling. Which is not unusual for it to happen after the engine shut off. It just appears to be noisier than what it was supposed to.

Now if it is making the noise all the time after the key is off, then it could be a wiring issue to the actuators.

Yes, the car is actually turned off. Does it immediately and will do it for up to 20 minutes because that is as long that I have patience to sit there for.
Yes, it seems noisier than usual.
It seemed to have started after the air filter was changed.

How do you turn the key off? It’s a key fob. I didn’t know it turned off.
Thank you

By turning the 'key off', I simply meant to make sure that the vehicle was off and there were not any accessories or other components getting power. So, when you push to turn it off that is what I meant.

By air filter, I am assuming you are talking about the cabin air filter. There is no reason for the noise to happen after the filter change. Unless of course something did not get installed properly.

Did you have it serviced in a shop? If so they should be able to verify that.
