Son put car in ditch, then reffed his way out over a big rock. has front driver side panel damage, it now makes loud popping noise in front ,

Popping noise and tire pops of the rim, also now shakes and tire rim looks wobbly and crooked. the tire does not get any kind of whole, steering is not the same.

You need to start by checking if any of the steering components including ball joints were damaged. Also, make sure the wheel isn't bent. You mentioned it comes off the rim. Something is seriously wrong with the rim. Also, check to make sure no damage was done to the strut, strut tower, or the frame in that area.

Thank-you for your very quick response, I should have said we have tried 3 different rims and tires, so it is not the rim. Will start where you suggested, I will keep you posted.

Even with a good rim, the tire comes off? If it does, we got a serious issue. Also check alignment to see if the tires both point straight.
