Sometime self-start motor does not work

"My car is Nissan Sunny FB15 model. Sometime self-start motor does not work in parking position or even in neutral position & when move the gear shaft up & down for several times self starter get works. Pls. let me know the defect & corrective action pls."

The most likely suspects are the neutral safety switch, or the shifter cable is loose or out-of-adjustment.
