This model isn't offered in the US. However, I believe it is the same as the Toyota Corolla which we do have. So, I will try my best to help.
First, the code indicates a transmission line pressure issue which could cause the issue you are having. Is the transmission rebuilt or have you installed a used unit? I ask because there could be a few different causes. It could be a wiring harness issue or a problem with the pressure/shift solenoid.
If you look below, I have attached information related to the P2716. The attachments include a description of the code, how it is set, a wiring schematic, and the diagnostics for identifying the problem. Take a look through them and let me know if they help.
