i was driving my truck and it started slowing down and when i pushed on the gas it would not accelerate. I pulled over and was i was pulling over my truck just shut off. i tried to start it but would only crank for about a second. i got out, popped the hood, and there was a large amount of smoke coming from the oil cap and dipstick. i checked the oil level and it was very low. does the mean my engine is locked up?

Does not mean it is locked up, but if the oil was extremely low you may have done serious damage to it.

i checked and it is locked up. it did not throw rods or anything though, i took the spark plugs out and sprayed WD40 and penetrating oil in the holes. i also put new oil in it and marvels mystery oil, but it still will not turn over. Any other suggestions?

You just about got it, let it sit is all you can do and then try it. You can use a large breaker bar at the front of the balancer to help rock the crankshaft back and forth.

Let us know,

Cheers, Ken
