I just had a 50,000 check up on my car 3 weeks ago. Today I turned on the car and found the check engine light on. I popped the hood to check for any obvious items that might be wrong. I found a small clear hose with a red capped attachment sticking up in a way that's obvious that it was out of place. I can't figure out what it's should be attached to. Can anyone assist? Assuming that once it goes back to it's correct spot, the light will turn off.

Hi,

I am glad to help but will need to see this line. Can you take a picture or a quick video of it and I am sure I can identify it and where it goes. Thanks

Do you have a sunroof? This looks like a sunroof drain tube. In fact, it looks like the clear part of the line is full of water. Is this true? I would just see if you can trace this line back and see where it goes. I suspect it will go back into the A-pillar. This will run up and connect to the sunroof.

If you don't have a sunroof then I am not sure what this would go to.
