Seems to be not changing the gears quickly at about 50km and sometimes after braking, the pickup may be a bit slow. I have cleaned the throttle body and the Mass Air Flow Sensor. There are no check engine lights or codes.(Nissan Bluebird Sylphy 2007)

This can happen when the catalytic converter starts to clog up and lower engine vacuum making the engine computer think the car is going up a hill which holds the gears longer. This guide can help confirm the issue:

Also, we should run the codes to see if any are stored.

Please go over these guides and get back to us.

Good morning Ken, Finally got around to checking it, i disconnected the catalytic converter and washed it with soap water allowed it to drain before installing it. the problem has subsided. I will reset the throttle valve hopefully this weekend and allow it to relearn.
Thank you so much.
