While driving recently, I noticed that my vehicle was making a weird slight grinding noise when accelerating. It was first noticed when decelerating and went away. Thought it may be the PTU.

Hello,

Does it make the noise all the time?
What happens when you hit the brake, does it go away?

Here is a helpful guide on typical grinding noise:

If you can upload video, so we can hear the noise, that would be helpful.

Please let me know what you have been experiencing.
Thank you.

No, it only makes the noise when accelerating. If I coast, it does not make the noise. I have a video from inside the car.

It almost sounds like the exhaust heat shield rattling. There is a heat shield on the exhaust manifold it makes similar noise when loose.

If you are in park and give it gas, does it make this noise?

No, it does not. Only on acceleration and not in neutral.

Which makes it trickier to hear the noise as you can't just start and listen to it.
Have you had any recent services done for the any of the drivetrain component?
