truck kind of advances forward at stop light?

As I'm sitting at a light at times but not always. The truck kind of advances forward a tad. It only happens after about 45 seconds. I've changed the plugs wires, distributor cap, button, and cleaned up the IAC. It never does it in park and i went a day and it never did it all day. But it's back. Not often though.
What should i look at?

It sounds like the engine has a vacuum leak or you have a dirty throttle body that needs service, here are two guides to help you see how to test/fix it. Use this guide when the engine is cold only:

Because the computer system will surge while it is trying to make adjustments. I did notice you said you cleaned up the IAC and did not replace it, I would get a new unit because sometimes they can "glitch" causing the situation you have. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Is there a method for checking for air leak with spray? I'd like to rule that out a can carbon build up do it in throttle body. Also, can charcoal canister factor it.

I noticed something and wanted to ask...It seems like the level of fuel in tank factors if. I didn't see it happen all day yesterday in traffic off on all day, then later. As fuel level got to a low level where light comes on it started doing that again. I just put half tank of fuel bk in and will see if it does anything. Can that be the fuel pump? I didn't get to check air leaks, but it would have happened yesterday if it was.

Turned out to be transmission code p1767.what sensor is it and how would i check circuit?

Here is what is said: The P1767 code in a 2001 Dodge Dakota indicates a problem with the transmission's governor pressure solenoid circuit. This code is set when the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the governor pressure is not within the expected range.

The governor pressure solenoid is responsible for regulating the pressure in the transmission's hydraulic circuit, which controls the shifting of gears. When the solenoid malfunctions or its circuit has a fault, it can cause issues with the transmission's performance, including harsh shifting, slippage, and poor fuel economy.

Yes, i actually put one on it a few years ago as i put a used overdrive in an changed that broken accumulator Spring ..
I just cleaned up the wiring harness to it on the outside ..had transmission like fluid and switched out the relay an checked fuses

if it does it again ill pull that gov solenoid....
Not a very common code ..i looked in the service manual for techs and it skipped that code!!

How do i check circuit on that harness outside the tranny pan ..


If it does it again I will pull the pan an check it all out.

You must remove the pan to check the circuit. If the circuit is okay replace the solenoid. Here is a guide and the transmission wiring diagrams so you can test the connections:

Got it, what's the torque for each bolt and the torque screws to gov pressure body?
And to the pan gasket.

Better pic. should i go ahead with replacing both transducer and gov press solenoid and just switch out the body. Which have both intact already?
Any way to test them when off?

I would test the continuity through the coil. Please let me know if that fixes it.

I put another unit w both sensors in it.

How many quarts does the drain pan carry ?

It took 6 quarts. i guess letting it sit a day drained out more.
