Size specs of intake camshaft oil seal

There is no part number for the seal.

It uses a seal as it the picture I posted.

Can you upload a picture of what you have?

My car ate the oil seal from the front end of intake cam shaft, part not available. I'm in need of the size specs for the intake camshaft oil seal. Thanks.

The reason it is not available is there is no seal for that area.

Can you attach some pictures of this for me to see?

I will take it to the tractor dealer and match it up look in any 1997 Malibu repair manual. look under 2.4 intake cam shaft removal. then text me back what it tells ya to remove and discard from intake cam. keep reading and it will tell you, replace oil seal, intake cam only. spring facing in. thanks. bye.

I have looked at the procedure. The seal they are talking about is what I posted in the picture I attached.

You are under the impression that it is a round seal behind the gear and it is not that all as you have found out. If it was, the seal would be offered.

I am not mad at you man i'm mad at Corporate GM. This shows a round oil seal, in picture you sent me it just looks like a wide gasket.....

Correct. It is a seal that goes around the but not the type you think. It is part of the seal for installing the cam carrier.

So i need round cam carrier oil seal? i had the remains including spring from inside oil seal in my hands the first time i took apart. .....
