After replacing the rack and pinion and the full front suspension and before getting an alignment, and with the steering being off center now am getting what is expected which is the BAS and traction lights and SAS codes, and it shutters bad while the Bas flashes, turned off the traction control and all was good for 5 minutes no shuttering, but then it came back, is it possible for it to be related to alignment, SAS and the traction? I am sure i reinstalled the abs sensors correctly.

Good morning,

If the trac system is active, it will do this.

There is fault codes stored for the system in the ABS module. I need those codes to help narrow the area of failure for you.

Also, Did they calibrate the steering angle sensor? Hopefully they did center point steering before locking the steering wheel and make the toe in adjustments.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP)

If the vehicle is equipped with ESP, once the battery is reconnected, the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) within the Antilock Brake Module (ABM) needs to be calibrated. The SAS requires calibration (initialization) using the scan tool anytime the battery or an ABS (ESP) component has been disconnected for any length of time. If the SAS is not calibrated following battery reconnection, the ESP/BAS indicator lamp will flash continuously with no DTCs.

To calibrate (initialize), perform the following:

1. Position the front wheels straight ahead and center the steering wheel.
2. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle.
3. Follow the directions on the scan tool.

They are doing an alignment now, i will calibrate the SAS at home once i get there.

I went home after the alignment with the BAS ESP still on. Scanned it and there were a bunch of course. Deleted them and did a SAS calibration and all is good for now. Will monitor it. I noticed the car has hard time starting first time you try to start it, this started 4 days ago. it will turn over and not start then start second time, volts is good around 13.95 or 14.xx..

Thanks.

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. The low voltage code may be the root cause of all the codes.
