Runs okay, but when it gets warm it wants to cut off. If I cut the switch off and start it right back up it'll run fine again and then repeats the same thing over again. Put new fuel pump, distributor, coil, MAP sensor, spark plugs, thermostat, and ignition control module.

Hi,

If it is starting back up, that is a tough one. Does it only happen when the engine is warm? Does it ever not restart?

Do me a favor. Lets scan the computer to see if there are any diagnostic trouble codes that may help up. This vehicle has an OBD 1 system and it doesn't require a scan tool to check. All you need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip.

Here is a link that shows how it's done. Do this and let me know what you find.

I did the code scan and it read 12. Put a new ignition switch. I'm thinking the timing may be off?

Hi,

The timing wouldn't change based on temperature. When this happens, do me a favor. See if it starts a couple seconds using starting fluid and then stalls.

Let me know.
