Should I replace my master cylinder cap

I have taken it off so many times. The brake fluid is clean. It is the typical Hyundai/Kia style where you just twist it on, and off. I wonder if taking it on and off many times will wear down the plastic mounting points. It sits a hair looser than it was at first, but it is still snug. The gasket is in good shape. Should I worry about it?

Hello, I am Danny.

You should only worry about it if it was to start leaking. Usually the master cylinder reservoir is translucent enough to just monitor the level by looking at the side. Even if it looks low do not continually top off the level that is also a way to gauge the brake pad level. Brakes are a closed system so whatever is added come brake job time it has to be taken back out. I would leave the cap alone and just check for leaks when looking at the level. Does accidentally moving the master cylinder reservoir on the car get air into it? I saw the front grommet move while pushing it upwards but no fluid. Took car out and brakes feel the same. Does the screw prevent this from happening?

Yes, the screw/bolt keeps it in place. As I stated before the only time to be concerned is when you see brake fluid leaking. Hope this helps.
