shut off while driving

when driving and as soon as it gets hot the engine will shout off and I have to set for a while before I can restart and start driving again.

May be a problem with a crank position sensor. often when they fail they can stop working when hot and come back on line when they cool down. it is located above the starter motor 2.4 engine.
