Shorted 40 amp fuse, fuse diagram needed

I have a 40 amp fuse in the engine compartment that keeps blowing on my car listed above TDI VIN 1VWCN7A34CC044177.

How can I obtain a fuse diagram for my vehicle?

Hi,

I attached information related to the fuse box under the hood. I don't know which fuse is blowing, and there are a couple that are 40 amp.

Take a look through this and let me know if it is what you needed. Also, if you can provide the production date, it may help. When I go through the manual, there are several production dates to choose from. The one listed below started in January of 2011 but was used in the 2012 model year.

If you look on the driver's door or the door frame, there should be a label that indicates when it was built.

Joe, thank you very much. According to the diagram it is the F16 40 amp fuze for the Amplifier R12. I will trace that down and see if it is shorted out.

Let me know what you find. Also, if you find nothing wrong, let me know the production date of the vehicle. VW is great at making small changes 50 times a year. LOL

My car was built 1/12. I was able to verify that when I disconnected the amplifier the grounded condition went away. I also was able to determine that where the F16 red/blue wire from the fuse box connects to the amplifier, that terminal coming out of the amplifier is grounded to the metal case of the amplifier. I feel pretty confident that the amp is shorted out.

An easy way to check is to disconnect the power supply to the amp. If it doesn't blow, then the amp is a prime suspect. If it still blows, the problem is before the amp.
