The truck listed above is a K1500, original owner. This truck is all original (stock). 4 shocks in front. Lumber rack and stock heavy? duty bumper. 500 miles or less a year. No heavy loads no trailers, yachts or RV. 3 miles dirt road, 20 miles winding asphalt county road. Rare 50 miles on a straight highway. I want comfort overall. Shocks need replacing. Bilsteins were recommended. I called them. They do not make shocks for stock trucks. Overdone by fanatics. One guy says Napa Monroe Fleet for $30.00 a piece. My local mechanic. Bilsteins will be $400.00 plus labor. I have the money but is it right for Mr.?

Do i need four shocks in front? I am told that it is old school. I would like 2 in front and 2 in rear. Will that work?

Yes, that will work fine, two in the front and two at the rear of the truck.

Put on Napa gas Grande. Fleet shocks. The freeway ride was poor. I felt seasick. The curvy county road was good. Handled well enough. The off road to my house which was my main interest was great. Floated right over the bumps as smooth as could be. Still wondering about the Billsteins and how they would handle on each of the conditions? Money is not a concern at all.

The Bilstein's will handle better but give you a rougher ride, so you need to decide what kind of performance you desire.
