Okay, I bought the car four months ago it was great, but gradually it started getting harder and harder to get in reverse once it went in it was great plenty of power no slipping it just would go in bypassed reverse and goes straight in fourth. I do know the people before me replaced the clutch right before I got it. I am just not sure what it is someone said maybe the slave cylinder. Or linkage I am just not sure I have replace other stuff catalytic converter, map sensor, throttle sensor, o2 sensor, coil pack and all other regular maintenance. But I am due for inspection in October so no reverse would be a problem. Lol. so I am trying to fix it. Please any suggestions or ideas would be awesome. Thanks!

Hello,

Yep it sounds like you have a clutch disc that is falling apart which will not slip but it makes it difficult to disengage.

Here are a couple of guides to help you see what I am talking about:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-replace-a-clutch

and

Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Here are some diagrams of what it is on your car. (below)

Cheers, Ken
