Transmission does not slip at all. but when you put it in reverse it locks like your putting it in park. also, there is no neutral. when you go down the road you have to manipulate the throttle for it to shift .any information would be great.

for the throttle problem you may have a throttle cable one in picture is for a Miata, but yours may be similar. for other problem check shift cable may be out of adjustment and not putting into gear correctly otherwise have a transmission professional look at it.

Thanks.throttle is fine.i guess what i should have said was you have to let off the gas a little for it to shift. linkages all look good on the shifter. thanks for your input.

Sounds like the bushing came out of the shift lever to cable connection inside the car. Or the cable is coming loose at the clamp that holds it to the transmission.

letting off gas to shift could be the fluid is leaking by seal and with higher pressure it will not apply the piston or accumulator, but Steve may be right as well.
