I have been getting that shift solenoid issue even after removing and replacing the part. The transmission shift when cold but when driving temperature, it loses power and shifts hard on the gear esp 3 and 4 so i was able to go to gear 1 to be able to move.

Circuit open means there is no connection from the shift solenoid and the automatic control unit, here is the wiring diagrams for it and a guide to help you with the testing.
