Shaking when accelerating to sixty mph

Do you feel it in the steering wheel, through the whole truck or power-train?

The torque converter shutter is a common issue when the clutches slip in the converter. It usually does it under load when the torque converter is commanded to lock up.

It does not really feel like it is the steering wheel. It is almost like something shaking the back end, but you can feel it throughout.

It is hard to tell from here with the little information, but you can try this.

Go to a parts store and get an additive for torque converter shutter. Add it to the transmission fluid and drive it for about twenty miles and see if it helps. If it does, then the clutches are bad in the torque converter.

If it does not, then you need to have the drive train checked; such as the universal joints, motor mounts and tires.

I took it to a mechanic. Turns out it is the rear wheel bearing.

Okay, good find. A lot cheaper than a transmission.
