shakes and sluggish when stopping at stop lights

Okay, the first thing that needs to be done is have the check engine light codes retrieved.Having the light come on means a code or codes are stored in the vehicles computer. If you don't have access to a code reader/scanner most auto parts stores have a tool loaner program and can rent you one.Some parts store like AutoZone can check the codes for free.Here is a tutorial that shows what is involved for code checking:

Hi Danny, i have the codes for you P0456 and P0303.

Hello,

This first code is for the EVAP ssytem which has a leak. so I would start by checking the all vent and vacuum lines to the system. Next is a P0303 which is # 3 cylinder is having a problem. lets remove the park plug and do a compression test. Please upload a picture of the plug so I can see whats going on.
