Hello. Based on AllDatas repair estimates, the list price of a speed sensor for the left rear wheel is $42.14. labor is about 0.7 hours at whatever the labor rate is in your area. Assuming a $90.00/hourly rate, $63.00 for labor plus $42.14 for the part comes up to $105.14.

Now that's making a lot of assumptions. 1, it's assumes the problem is a failed sensor. It could be something cheaper, like a broken write, or it could be that you need a new sensor and reluctor ring. In short, it could be a $100.00 to $200.00 problem at the dealership. Smaller mechanic shops might be cheaper. Also, it's a fairly simple job. Not much harder than putting the spare tire on. So I'm going to attach instructions on how to do that if you should feel adventurous. These are screenshots directly from AllData.

If you do this, I would suggest not just changing the sensor, but also look closely at the wiring to the sensor. Look for bare or exposed wiring, or fraying that could be affecting the signal back to the computer or the power to the sensor. The wiring is probably covered in a protective sheath. Pull it back at least a foot for inspection purposes.

If after all of this is done the light and code persists, more inspection will be needed. But I suspect you'll find the issue in there.
