Ride control is the suspension control system that determines how the car rides. It uses a control module behind the right side rear trim panel along with steering position and height sensors on the front and rear coupled with special struts and shocks that use air pressure to keep the vehicle at the proper height. The sensors are a common failure point as are the control solenoids, but to determine what the fault is you need a scan tool that can talk to the suspension module. With it you can see what the sensors are telling the ride control module, it also allows testing of the compressor and solenoids without removing the various components.
