Serpentine belt tensioner removal

Heard a weird noise from under the engine and even though i drove it for 50 miles didn't expect to see that the belt was just loose, barely on there. Took a 30mm wrench and pulled the tensioner and that put some tension on the belt. So am guessing the hydraulic part is crushed and needs replacing. Can you find out for me what size those star bolts are? There is one on top one on bottom.

Hello,

For that you should need T50 torx bit. I know that is the typical size for just about all of the Porsche of these years.

That tensioner is fairly expensive for a tiny little hydraulic part.
I have attached the replacement steps and the belt diagram below.

Yes, finally removed it. It is weird, i can pretty much make the belt loose by pushing it with my hand. Am hoping the tensioner part that has a spring Isn't the issue. I ordered a hydraulic tensioner, not bad after market.

That hydraulic part does tend to go bad and is unable to keep tension. I have seen several 911s with this issue.
