Serpentine belt installation

That belt fits very tight. The tensioner tool usually gives just enough room to slip the belt on if you run the belt around and leave the middle idler pulley under the tensioner spring as the last point on. No way to bypass the A/C without some type of idler pulley in place of the A/C clutch that can handle the belt tension on that system because of the way the start stop system works.

I was running around town looking for a tool for that. O'reilys said their computer had one in stock but they couldn’t find it. went to AutoZone; the guy never even seen that tool before. went to two other auto part stores and they didn’t have it. I have seen a few videos where they made their own tool to compress that spring.

I read in a few other guys post they got a shorter belt and bypassed the A/C compressor. I need to get this belt on so I can put that UV dye in the oil and run the engine so I can use the UV light to see where it s leaking oil from.

I've made a tool to it too and used the factory tool. Both worked about the same, belt was still very tight putting it on.
