Mice chewed wires in my car. the wires were traced to a sensor on the back of the block on the drivers side. what sensor could it be?

Hi,
I need the correct model year. The Topaz was discontinued in 1994.
I attached a pic below and highlighted the oil pressure sender. Does the location look like what you are seeing on the car? Note: The pic is from a 1994.
Also, is it possible for you to take a pic of the sensor and upload it for me to see?

My car is a 1998 Mercury Sable. The picture you sent of the locations doesn't seem like the location of the one we found. and thank you for your help. look forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
The pic was wrong. It was for a Topaz. I attached a pic below of a Sable. The coolant temperature sensor is in the rear of the engine. See if that looks correct. Also, if you could take a pic and upload it, chances are it will help.
