The driver's seat on my husband's Z is twisting and binding when you try to move it forward or backwards. I have found by pushing up on the motor hard, I can get it to move. I have not been able to find any obstructions in the tracks. It used to move back-and-forth fine. It would just make that noise you hear in the beginning of the video. Now it doesn't want to move forward hardly at all which stinks because I like to drive this car from time to time. I'm very short. My husband is very tall. I have included the video below for reference. Please ignore the shoddy camera work at the beginning and the sound effects from me. Y'all know this is a small car.

Yep, you can hear the drive shaft/cable skipping which drives the gear on the opposite side of the seat. You will need to remove the seat and take apart the drive system to see what is broken and replaced it, I would look on ebay for replacement parts. Thanks for the video it helps. Check out the images (below). Please upload an image or a short video in your response of the problem, so I can see what's going on. Ken

Well.. the problem is definitive.. I think whoever recovered the seat before we bought the car boogered the washer, pushing the motor out of alignment. I wish I had just ordered the part or gone to the pull-it yard in town before I took everything apart, but here we are.I got the part ordered off Ebay. It should be here in a couple of days. I'll put the car mostly back together until it gets here. Don't tell my husband! Just kidding. He already knows.. He honestly doesn't care. He's just happy to have a wife that's also his mechanic.
