Scraping noise coming from under the hood

Hi, so I have this strange noise coming from under the hood. it's like a scraping or rattling noise. sometimes it gets louder and sometimes I don't hear it at all. it's coming from near the serpentine belt (I think). let me know any suggestions. Thanks

This sounds like it would be a belt issue. So if you have not changed the belt in a while, I would suggest we start with that.

It is always a good idea to keep this belt in good shape so it is not hurting anything even if the noise is still there. If it is still there, can you get a recording of it?

I attached the process on how to change the belt so let's start there and see what happens.
