Fuel filter location

Hello,

The fuel filter (1) is located in the primary fuel tank module. The paper filter element traps particles in the fuel that may damage the fuel injection system. The filter housing is made to withstand maximum fuel system pressure, exposure to fuel additives, and changes in temperature.

The fuel filter is inside the tank. It is part of the fuel sending unit. They are usually good for 100,000 miles. If you want the fuel filter changed you have to drop the gas tank and replace the fuel sending unit. (I have never had to change one either)

Filter located in Primary fuel module inside tank general replacement is not recomended will be replaced with fuel pump if it fails

What is the location of the fuel filter on a 2006 Saturn Vue 2.2. I purchased the part and according to advance auto it is an inline fuel filter. I cant find it

Look's like it's in the tank and i looked all the way up to 150,000 miles and it doesn't show it being changed so i wouldn't worry about changing it.I would also return that filter you got.

Your fuel filter is located in your gas tank only.Check your owners manual If and when it should be replaced I am sorry i don't have access to that information.Let me know if you have anymore questions. There is a plastic box with hoses there are 5 bolts one at the point and 2 on each side of the box there be hold the corporate.

I want to know how to stop the flow of fuel while I am changing the fuel filter

Just relieve the fuel pressure by disconnecting the neg. battery cable and opening fuel lid. There will still be a bit of fuel in the lines so wear protective gear. There will be no fuel flow as long as key is out of ignition.
