now that makes more sense thats its a lw2 so nothing inside works sounds like a bad body control module.when they go out pretty common for the gas gauge to read empty or wave at u.also keyless entry inop power door locks inop dome lamp inop or even seen the dome lamp do a strobe light.they way i test them is to use a scan tool reads codes out of the body controler on ur car they usually wont be able to read data when u loose that much operation of the car.then i have a bad tester body control module that i plug in and if it reads data i know i have a bad module.on those modules there yr and 4cyl and v6 specific it has to be a 2000 v6 only not even a 2000 4 cyl will work every yr is like that.thats why i have so many testers.and i would take it to the dealer because they will have to program the new one.let me know how it goes and what they find.
