1998 Saturn SW2 service light reset

Sounds like more good news go to a auto parts store and have ur codes read bring me back the numbers and we will see what's going on.let me know.

Hey, thanks for the timely response. I went and had the code(s) read, well, I tried to, but despite the idiot light that wont go off, the code reader said that there were no codes to read. PLUS, the stupid thing is still trying to overheat. I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS with the cooling system on this car since I got the thing last June. From the word GO, the fan hasn't worked properly. It worked, at first, enough to where I didn't think there was a problem. After about a month, I realized that I had only actually heard the fan come on maybe 3 times. It starts overheating, and I end up replacing the fan and fan motor, the radiator, the thermostat, the coolant temp sensor, and the fan motor relay, thinking that my problems had to be solved after all of that. I was wrong. The fan still would not work, at all. I ended up throwing in a toggle switch for it, but neglected to install a fusable link, and ended up burning out the fan motor. It overheated, and popped a hole in the radiator. So, once again, I replace the radiator and the fan motor, and once again it does not work on it's own. I throw my hands in the air, install another toggle, (fusable link included), and my water pump goes out. Good times. I replace the water pump, and it still wants to overheat, fan on or not. It has started to death rattle when I accelerate, more than it used to, anyway. Is is already gone? Sorry for writing a book, but that's the 411 on my stupid freaking car. Any ideas??

wow a death rattle that doesnt sound good can u explain the death rattle a little more.lets take a look at ur overheating concern.when the fan is hooked up correctley does it come on with the a/c?also when u replaced the coolant temp sensor did u look and see if its connector is corroded that will make it over heat common thing to happen.if it is corroded it will have to be replaced.also clean out ur a/c condensor they get dirty and restrict the flow of air in the radiator.also do u still have ur air dam hanging down below ur a/c condensor that hangs down off the plastic gaurd that covers the bottom edge of ur radiaitor that missing will cause overheating.let me know what u find.
