the windshield wipers do not work?

The windshield wipers of my car stop working whenever it rains. Do I have a short of some kind somewhere? This is driving me nuts, as we are having a very rainy spring here in Spokane, WA. and I am driving around looking through a wet windshield all the time. Thanks so much for any help you may be able to give.

If the wiper stops working each time it rains then more than likely you have an issue with the wiring or the ground.

However, do the wipers work when it does not rain?

If they do then we need to check for power when it is wet and check the ground for high resistance. I included the wiring diagram but if the wiring checks out then more than likely you have an issue with the motor getting moisture inside of it
