1998 Saturn SL2 Car won't go into R,D,3,or 2.

So what's the story on this one did it happen while driving?or the next time u started the car to drive?is the transmission fluid full?questions I need answered.

It had been acting "iffy" for a while. i thought i had it fixed by replacing the valve body. but when i took it for a spin it lost 3rd, so i pulled over and turned it off, frustrated, and when i started it again; nothing. so i got fed up with messing with it for 6+ months and took it to the dealer. Turned out something (i can't recall what the lady told me) wasn't ?pushing? enough PSI or something like that and i had to get a new tranny. ):

glad to hear its fixed sorry to hear they replaced the tranny.they coudnt have fixed it where did u take it?

i took it to the saturn dealer. they said that they could have just fixed the internal part. but taking it apart and putting it back together plus parts and labor was mroe expensive than just getting a new tranny altogether.

well thats good u got a better warranty too if u fixed it u would have got a 12 month 12,000 mile one since u repalced it u got a 36 month or 36.000 mile warranty.glad to hear it.
