2002 Saturn SL1 crankshaft code

Hi I have been speaking to one of you about the 2002 saturn sl1 that read bad crankshaft code. We changed the crank sensor and engine light came back on and still read crank sesnsor code. My mechanic told me to change the coils and module but you said to change the plugs and wires. I changed the plugs and wires yesterday and when I changed the wires two of the coil contacts were corroded pretty bad. So I steel wooled then clean and car Is running much better. Went to auto zone today and had code removed so will see if engine light comes back on or not. But the way the coil contacts looked and the two wires were corroded bad I think that was the problem.
