Air Conditioning problem
1999 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Automatic 76,000 miles

I would like to know what to ask the mechanic to fix:
1) thru winter, blower would click but work
2) A/C not very cold
3) in past week, pressing the A/C button makes a screeching noise

Is the screeching from a belt possibly?
Could I use freon to cool down the temp?
Recently (past 6 months) had starter and belt replaced.

I want to make sure I know what I'm asking for so I don't get ripped off and wondering if this sounds minimal or highly problematic.

Thank you,
Sarah Nicole

PS 11 year old car but only 76,000 miles

Ur a/c not very cold might just need a recharge or u could have a leak hard to say without seeing it.usually they will look for visable leaks when they charge it.have them put leak dye in it if they just charge just in case there's a leak.on ur squeling with the a/c on u probably just have a Weak belt tensioner letting the belt slip.as far as ur inside blower fan inop that's hard to say without doing some tests to see what's going on there.let me know if u have anymore questions.

Thank you,
Sarah Nicole

THANK YOU!
I've never recharged my A/C as far as I know so I will have mechanic do so asap!
Just wondering how much recharging usually costs?
Thanks again.
