[quote:95a46061cb="neverookback303"]the connector had a little bit of green in it, is it bad to change the connector if its not corroded??
a mechanic told me that i should clean my injections and do a tun up! can that fix the problem?[/quote:95a46061cb]
if the connector had a little bit of green in it then it need to be replaced.i just didnt want u to replace a expensive connector if it wasnt bad.well we dont know what the fuel pressure is or the back pressure.as far as the fuel injectors needing cleaning really havent seen any run that poorly.how many miles on the car?when was ur last tune up?ur suppose to change ur plugs every 30,000 miles.and ur fuel filter every 100,000 they get pretty clogged in 100,000 miles at that point there pretty hard to blow thru.they also have the fuel pressure regulator in them thats why its a important maintance item.if u need one the cheapest place for a fuel filter is autozone i got theone for my 99 saturn for 30 there usually like 75 or higher.i would pull ur plugs and have a look at them see if there worn or the tips are fouled or just plain worn out.also look for black powder on the part where the wire goes and get a flash light and look into the spark plug boots for black powder if u see come replace it.so does it run good till it warms up or does it run bad all the time?i keep asking u that question the more details i know the better i can help u.but if the wires look old and the plugs too then it wouldnt hurt to change them.dont buy platium plugs waste of money on that car they will carbon foul too.get ngk plugs standard ones like the ones that came in there.dont buy the cheapest wires ethier try to get some a/c delco ones.let me know what u find.
