Dear Sirs,
I own a 98 Saturn SL1 and cannot seem to pass an emissions test because of a check engine code of P0466, Evap. Emissions purge solniod (attached to the filler neck at the back of the car). I have replaced the solnoid with a couple out of a junkyard and they do not work. I have power going to the solnoid but do not hear a clicking sound. I will buy a new one and try that. Could it also be the purge canister. If so, where is it located and how do I test it. Could it be anything else?
I asked you this queston last week but can no longer find my posting.

Thank you

O.K. caused by blockage in a line or canister in engine compartment. Check line to tank and line to Evap canister if flowing free then check canister

Thank you. Question, should I still replace evap. emission purge solniod on the gas filler neck? I purchased a new from a Chev/Saturn Dealership at lunch today. If I remmber what you told me, turn the igition to acc (do not start the engine) and unplug and plug the electrical connector to see if the solniod clicks.
Where is the canister in the engine compartment?

Thank you,
