1997 Saturn SL1 Cam sensor code

1997 Saturn SL1 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a check engine light on and the code is for a cam sensor but the car has not got a cam sensor what do I look for to fix this other than the light on the car runs great

So I take it u have a p0340 or p0341?I would check where ur spark plug wires go on ur plugs look for black carbon in the plug boots and on the plugs also check ur spark plugs for carbon tracking meaning arching down the plugs where u can see a black line down the plug that won't rub off.next pull off ur plug wires from ur coil pack look for white powder on the wires and coil towers.let me know what u find.
