I just replaced the head gasket on my single overhead cam Saturn SL1. Motor started right up and ran fine for 3 days. Today it started running poorly and making noise in valve cover. Had car towed home and has several rocker arms broken. It looks like there is fresh oil on top of head. Oil pump seems to be working fine...no light on. I removed rocker arm assembly when I took head in for reconditioning. What did I do wrong?

Hi
Generally rockers break due to fatigue and high RPMS. At 175K miles fatigue could be a factor. Was shaft bolts torqued to 19 ft. lbs? Is shaft worn where rockers ride?
Let me know
Thanks for donate
