My Saturn is giving a brake sign on periodically and I did smell something near the tires but the tires are in good condition. I have no screeching noise from the brakes. Please tell me what this could mean before I take it for repair. Thank you. Kay

Usually when the brake sign comes on it means ur low on brake fluid.meaning ur brake are worn usually the front or u have a brake fluid leak.so u should go get ur brakes checked.let me know what u find.
