1994 Saturn SL1 no pulse to injector

The speed sensor has nothing to do with injector pulse's.How did you check for injector pulse's?Did you use a noid light or some other way?Let me know so we can figure this out.

the pink wire to the injector is hot but the dark wire did nothing with a test light to battery hot while turning over...no pulse kd58 THANKS

The ecm control's the ground to the injector that's how it pulse's the injector.So do you have spark?If the injector ground side isn't pulse's it's going to be the wire's or the ecm.So what happens when you try to flash the code's out?You said it won't even give a code 12 which it should they all have that code.So what's the whole story?Did you just have a crank no start one day?Or did something happen to cause it to not start?

thank you sooooo much...car runs with fuel or ether so must be puter or wire....while driving it burped three different times an a hot day so assuimed fuel pump even though it felt like spark....did checks...changed filter...now no codes????oh yeah we towed it last three miles kd58

If you have no injector pulse i would check fuel pressure also.But if all your missing is injector pulse then your left with the wiring and the computer if you try a computer i would find a good used one.

do you know if the dk blue wire (pulse ground) it may be black goes directly to the ecu and if so I could probe at that connection where the wire comes out and it should pulse which I could then jump....but probably I'll need to replace the ecu.... thanks again KD58 (any chance of getting a diagram of the ecu showing where that wire should be?)

Yes the light blue wire goes straight to the ecm and that is a pulsing ground while cranking.I would take a ohm's meter and go from the terminal to the injector to the terminal of the ecm it should be 2 ohm's or less.I also emailed you the diagram.

Louie, you're my new best friend...the principle is surely the same but mine is a single injector with a dk. blue (or black) wire?????? thanks KD58 (where are you located and how will I know that YOU will get any $ )

If you look a little closer it show's both the four injector and single injector that's why it show's 5 injector's one of those injector's is labeled TBI which is throttle body injection which yours is.If you donate under the user name you used to ask the question with i will get the money i'm suppose to get when you donate no worries there.

thank you louie...I have 2 ohms from ecu pin to injector so does that mean it is for sure the ecu???and should I pull that wire at the pin and look for anything specific? getting closer KD58

Nothing in life is for sure lol.But if you rule out the wire and terminal tightness then all your left with is the computer.If your getting 2 ohm's from terminal to terminal then there is no point in removing the wire from the connector.Now your left with terminal tightness and the computer.

Louie...just a note to say thank you for guiding me through the diagnosis...I just replaced the ecu and it runs fine...was hoping for a different solution (obviously) but at least it is fixed...thanks again...going to send $ now kd58 in good ol Boring Oregon
