1999 Saturn SC2 oil saturated spark plugs

I recently went on a long trip on the way back my engine had a severe loss of power when taking off and accelerated when i got home went to change the plugs and wires when i took the plugs out they were covered in oil, obviously oil is leaking internally could you tell what would cause the oil to leak into the sparkplugs
