My car has been making a pinging noise and I got the oil changed but it still pretty loud. I took it to get a diagnostic test and they said it could be the EGR valve but someone else told me it was the lifters. I was just wondering if it was the lifters, how much does that cost and is there any way I could tell the difference without a mechanic?
