My son owns this car. He shifted down to 2nd gear (it is a 5 speed) to go over some railroad tracks and there was no gear. You can shift into each of the gears with the motor running with the clutch OUT. It does nothing. It really doesn't feel like it is even going into a gear. It shifts very easily into and out of each gear with the clutch engaged or disengaged. No difference.
