2002 Saturn SC1 iginition module

You can just replace the module without replacing the coil's why do you think the module is bad?They hardly ever go bad and there expensive if it's not bad.If you have no spark then it's most likely a bad crank shaft sensor that's pretty common for no spark on that car.Let me know i might be able to save you some money the crank sensor is only like 20.

I already had the crank sensor changed and about a day later the check engine light came back on and the bad crank sensor code came back. I brought it back to my mechanic shop owner who is in his early 70's and has worked on all my vehicles and is very honest. I used to be a mechanic ,sold them did body work on them, but I am now disabled. He checked it out and said that I really can't remember exactly what he said but it was something about the crank positon readings

You can try replacing the ignition module although i have never seen a bad one cause a crank position sensor code and have replaced very few ignition module's in my over 16yrs working for saturn dealership's that's an expensive guess there not cheap.What is the code number you keep getting?

when I brought the car to auto zone I didn't see the code but the guy said it was for the crank sensor and when I brought it back to auto zone a girl checked and said it was reading bad crank sesor. Have any other Idea what it could be. If not going to have to go back to auto zone monday and get code.

The best thing you can do is go back to auto zone and get the code number and post it for me then i can give you some idea's how to fix it.

Saturntech9 said>Those code's are for the cam shaft sensor which your car doesn't have one not the crank shaft sensor.The most common reason for that code is replacing the plug's and wire's i would remove the plug wire's and see if there is any black carbon on the plug's where the wire's attach or in the wire boot's where they go onto the plug's.I have also seen a miss routed plug wire cause those code's.If you replace the plug's don't put platnuim plug's in it they don't run right in that engine and carbon foul.I recommend standard ngk plug's like it came with.As far as just emailing you we need to stay on this posted question that way other user's can fix there car from the problem your having with your car.

Went to auto zone today and had code removed so will see if engine light comes back on or not. But the way the coil contacts looked and the two wires were corroded bad I think that was the problem.
