1997 Saturn SC1 clicking when starting in hot weather

my 1997 satun makes a round of clicking nosies before it starts.When i hit the gas a bit it will then start up. Eventually the clicking stops though out the day as i start my car.. It does it only when its very hot out. I dont know what the problem is.. Some people tell me its my battery others say its my starter. can some please help!!

When u hear the clicking and ur car doesn't start does ur engine spin or rotate?where does the clicking noise come from ur starter?if u have to press the gas pedal for ur car to start sounds like u might have a bad coolant temp sensor.any codes?let me know.
