Warning Light

Well that symbol could mean a bunch of things. when it came on in my grandfathers car I found out it was a fuse and just replaced it. So try checking the fuse.

If I remeber correctly the light means that you should have your vehicle serviced asap. If the light is blinking it is more serious.

The light means that there has been a fualt detected by the computer with regards to the engine, mainly emmision related. It could be as simply as a loose gas cap or more much more.

Call the dealer and get there opinion to be certain.

when she gets back from her cruise , before drive the 120 miles have her have the oil, transmission fluid, and fan belt checked, assuming there are no noises or knocking she would be able to drive the car home. did she tell you if the light blinked or just stayed on? if it blinked have her count the number of times { example, if it blinked twice then paused and then blinked once} that code tells what is the problem the computer is picking up, if it just stayed on the car would have to be checked as soon with a scanner.
